Worship

Worship is the way we celebrate the glory and majesty of God.  He is our “audience of One.”

We meet together as a congregation for worship at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM every Sunday.

On Sunday mornings, we meet in the Church Sanctuary.  Our style of worship is informal enough so that first-time church attendees will feel comfortable, and traditional enough to be familiar to long-time church goers.  We include a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music, scripture reading, prayer, a special children’s time with our pastor, an opportunity to show our gratitude to God through monetary giving, special music by our choir, ensembles or individuals, a biblical sermon by our pastor, and a time of personal decision based on how God spoke to you during worship.

Occasionally on Sunday evenings, we meet in the Fellowship Hall for 14:26 Worship.  There is no order of worship, and no single person leading.  We rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us, and everyone is welcome to participate as God leads you.  It is based on what some believe was the way the Christians in the first century worshipped from 1 Corinthians 14:26 (NIV)  “What then shall we say, brothers?  When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation.  All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.”  To read more, click here.

Our purpose is to provide a variety of ways to worship God.

We don’t have a dress code.  Some of the men wear coats and ties, and some wear open collared shirts, slacks or jeans.  Some of the women come in dresses, but others wear blouses with pants or skirts.  We want you to be comfortable in how you dress.  We’d rather you come as you are, than not come!

Please join us as we give honor and glory to our Lord in worship.
